The Valley Seniors Web Site

E-mail Print PDF

We are now sorting out new members, members who have left and keeping a balance between Groups A & B. Right now we have 222 members, with 112 in Group A and 110 in Group B. It is not all that long until our first competition at Ken-Wo. I just checked the long range forecast for Tuesday, 29 May and, you guessed it, rain. Ah, well. We have a few weeks to go yet and a lot can change in that time.

When I renewed our web hosting contract and registered our Valley Seniors' name, our host company, SAH Digital, sent some statistics from last year:

June 2011 - 32,610 hits

July 2011 - 23,483 hits

August 2011 - 20,011 hits

September, 2011 - 18,356 hits.

During the off season, October to May, we still average over 4,000 hits per month. It seems to me that we are getting good use from our web site and this can only get better as the years go by. The way we set up the site at the beginning was www.TheValleySeniors.com with the TVS, all capitals. However, the address is not case sensitive so www.thevalleyseniors.com works just as well.

Moving left to right, we have: Ed Eby, Eden Rep; Brian Van Tassel, Avon Valley Rep; Andre Gauthier, Ken-Wo Rep; Roland Comeau, Clare Rep; Gerard LeFort, President and Annapolis Rep; David Pollard, Secretary Treasurer;

Gordon Rank, incoming Eagle Crest Rep; Wayne Hatchard, outgoing Eagle Crest Rep; Keith Thompson, Paragon Rep; Dennis Deveau, Greenwood Rep; Barry MacInnes, Berwick Heights Rep; and, John Scott, Digby Rep.

It was a fine meeting where the Reps were generally of the same opinion. The aim was to make the 2012 season as good as we can. See you all on the Seniors Tour!
